Literature
During my work at the universities, I enjoyed organising the visits of guest-lecturers such as Anna Fiske, Anna Tranberg, Ánde Somby, Hans Herbjørnsrud, Harald Gaski, IÅ‹gor Ántte Áilu Gaup, Karl-Ove Knausgård, Kjartan Fløgstad, Liv Heløe, Unni Langås, Øivind Hånes, and many more.
The visits were also an incentive for students to practice their presentation- and translation-skills.
Two of my favourite projects

A long story in keywords:

Norwegian author Hans Herbjørnsrud's short story "Kai Sandemo" is a challenge for translators because of the mix of languages spanning Danish as well as several Norwegian variants.
Two groups of students in Munich and Zürich took up this challenge under the guidance of Uwe Englert and myself and published their experiment in 2005.
This work has inspired several readings, essays and papers and is still being presented in 2025.
One student's (Marc Späni) reminiscence "Geschichtstriebe - Hans Herbjørnsrud und ich"
Author Arild Vange's essay in "Mellomrom - tolv tekster om oversettelse"
.... to be continued ....
